About the Makeover

This makeover was a direct response to feedback concerning the need for additional group study and collaboration spaces, and is part of a continuous improvement strategic initiative to make the facility a welcoming and inviting student space that:

  • better accommodates a variety of student needs
  • includes new carpeting for the entire library
  • adds a new, open-concept library commons space on the second floor
  • features new collaborative furniture spaces, and various other updates

Library Updates

  • New library building front entrance
  • Repairs to windows on the north side of the building
  • Interior walls of the library have been painted
  • New carpet on the first and second floors of the library
  • Most of the print books – with the exception of the popular reading books and reference books – have been relocated to the first floor
  • Additional group study and collaborative spaces with new furniture have been setup
  • A technology upgrade for the Schroeder Room that includes lecture capture and video conferencing
