Library Organization – Dewey? No, we don't!

At the Walter Schroeder Library we have the majority of our resources organized by the Library of Congress Classification System. Like the Dewey Decimal System, items are arranged by subject, however the format will be slightly different.

For example the call number for the book The Universe in Zero Words: The Story of Mathematics as Told Through Equations by Dana Mackenzie is:
QA211 .M16 2012

One of the wonderful things about subject-sorted materials is that if you find one resource that suits your purposes, you're likely to find other useful materials right next to it. We recommend taking a moment to look at the other items near the item you were searching for.
