Library Course Reserves

Library Course Reserves

The library provides course reserve services for academic materials to support course instruction.

The MSOE library acts in compliance with Copyright Law (Title 17, U.S.C.). Library reserve requests will be evaluated by a librarian to determine if the request complies with fair use guidelines. Best practice recommendations and/or alternatives to library reserves may be presented.

Review the General Copyright Policies for Protected Materials on Reserve at MSOE and the Reserve FAQs to find additional information about this service.

In-House Print Reserves

Requesting Items for Print Reserves

Request print reserve materials by filling out a Print Reserves Request Form.

Please allow time for processing reserve requests. Course reserves may take up to 3 business days before the items are available to students.

Accessing Print Reserve Items

Print reserve materials are kept behind the circulation desk, and can be checked out with a valid MSOE ID.

Removal of Reserve Items

At the end of each quarter, print reserve items are removed from the reserve area. Reserve items owned by faculty members will be returned.

Usage statistics (the number of times a reserve item circulates) can be supplied at the faculty member’s request.

The Library reserves the right to change these policies at any time.

Electronic Course Reserves
