Many publishing software apps are available to facilitate authorship. Software apps from MSWord to specialized apps like Scrivener all support authorship but vary in complexity and features. There is no one standout writing software which is best for all types of writing. Each author needs to decide what is best for their endeavor and should consider items such as cost, features, learning curve, fixed versus reflowable format, and file format compatibility.
