The following video series is a basic primer on how to begin critically appraising the literature. Each video covers a different set of topics that show you what to look for. Please note that this is a complex topic and these videos are only meant to get you started. For more information please contact the library.
Video 1 details the definition of Critical Appraisal, why its important, and other important definitions to know.
Video 2 talks about study design and the different types of bias.
Video 3 dives into the basics of appraisal - what to look for and where to find it. This video also includes a live demonstration.
Video 4 details the resources that are available to you in general as well as MSOE specific resources.
