Library Instruction and Support For Faculty & Staff

For members of MSOE Faculty looking to get a better idea of how MSOE Librarians can better support staff and students

What MSOE Library can do for You:

Looking to add a literacy or special education sessions to your curriculum?

The library is here to help!

The library offers teaching and creating content for a library specific topic. This can include general searching strategies, database navigation, assignment assistance, special subtopics within a class (ex. Critical appraisal of literature in a nursing course), and resource/ tool demonstrations for things like citation managers, etc.

The library can also fashion classes on subject specific classes that pair with library skills. We can present in-depth library instruction on topics such as critical appraisal of literature, comprehensive searching methods, how to read academic papers, topic specific database application, and more. If you have an idea of a type of class that the library can help with please reach out. We're happy to work with you.

If you have suggestions for how to make this page better, please contact Elizabeth Jerow, Library Director (jerow@msoe.edu).
