Library Instruction and Support For Faculty & Staff

For members of MSOE Faculty looking to get a better idea of how MSOE Librarians can better support staff and students

For Faculty

As an instructor you have an opportunity to add collaborative work to your classes. The librarians are here to help. We can help you with:

  • Assistance on your own work. Looking into doing research of your own? Writing a paper for publishing? The librarians can consult with you to help build search queries, extract data, or consult on publishing. We also have limited editing assistance available.
  • MSOE Librarians are developing an Index of Faculty Publications. If you have published recently please send us the title of the publication and we'll add that to our index.
  • Develop class-specific or general libguides. If there is a tutorial, skill lesson, or concept that you would like your students to find the library can work with you to create a guide.

Support for Students

As your students go through their semester they may need assistance with an assignment, project, or research. They can request a consultation with a librarian to help them on their way. They can stop by in person, submit a consult form, or email us for an appointment. The librarian may reach out to the instructor for clarification if needed. This is so that we can better understand the assignment and support your students better.
